Frequently Asked Questions
What is required to rent a unit?
Units must be rented in office. You must be at least 19 years old in order to rent a unit because a lease must be signed. We must make a copy of your Driver's License (or valid state or government issued ID) for your file. You will also pay your first month's rent at lease signing.
Personal information required to rent a unit:
- Name of person signing lease must match driver's license
- Mailing address
- Two phone numbers
- Email address
How long of a lease do I have to sign?
Our leases are on a month-to-month basis. The lease will continue until you vacate the unit according to the terms of your lease.
Is there an administration fee or down payment required?
We do not require a fee or down payment but do require your first month’s rent.
When is my rent payment due and how can I pay?
Payments are due on the date you rent your unit. For example, if you sign your lease on the 5th, your payment will be due on the 5th of each month. We will send out invoices about 2 weeks prior to your due date. These invoices can be paid by mailing in a check or money order or by stopping by the office using cash, check, and money order, Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. You can also pay online 24 hours a day. We do offer monthly auto billing and will require an additional authorization form to be signed.
Can I pay my storage rent online?
Yes, paying online at our secure payment site is the most convenient way to pay for many tenants. There's a simple process required to create a payment login - the information required is located on the lease agreement. Online payments can be made 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. However, if rent ever becomes 30 or more days past due, online payments are disabled.
When can I access my unit?
Units can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Will I be able to access my unit if I am past due?
If late on payments, a late fee of $10/month will be charged. We will also lock the unit and it will not be accessible until payments are caught up in full. You can pay your past due rent over the phone or come in and pay cash, check or by credit card. You will not be able to pay invoices more than 30 days late online. Please note that your unit may not be accessible until the next business day after payments are current.
What is the move out process?
We hate to see you go! But if you must leave, we have a few guidelines. We ask that you are moved out the day before your payment due date and to please notify the office that the unit is empty. Failure to do so can result in being charged for another month. A message can be left on our voicemail especially if you move out on the weekend, a holiday or after regular business hours. We will not prorate rent so a 10-day notice of your plan to vacate your unit is preferred.
Can I leave items that I don't want in the unit when I move out?
We ask that you leave it like you found it, empty. If any items, including trash, are left it will result in being charged another month’s rent. The unit must be left completely empty. Make sure to read the move out policy listed on the lease contract.
Is insurance provided?
We advise that you contact your insurance agent to obtain coverage for your items. We cannot insure someone else's belonging's. Similarly, we advise tenants storing RV's, boats, or automobiles to let his/her insurance agent know that the vehicle is being garaged at a storage facility. Our insurance only covers the structure of our buildings so your items will only be covered if you provide your own insurance coverage.
Are there items that I can't store in the unit?
Yes, our storage units are for "dead" storage only.
Here are a few items that are prohibited in all of our storage units:
- Food items - including human/animal food and sodas/beverages
- Flammable, explosive, corrosive items
- Chemical or toxic products
- Illegal or illicit materials
What are the office hours?
Office Hours are:-
Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
The office is closed on holidays and weekends.
